About Aaron Jim Rivera

I’m a newly graduated Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), MSN earned in December 2024, with a solid foundation in critical care built over five years as a bedside ICU RN. After two years in a high-acuity ICU setting, I took on the challenge of travel nursing during the COVID-19 pandemic—a decision that grew into a three-year journey across MICU, SICU, CVICU, Rapid Response, Stepdown, and Med-Surg units nationwide. Through this experience, I developed a strong clinical intuition and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure. I’ve managed ventilators, titrated life-saving drips, led Code Blue responses, and supported families through some of their most difficult moments. My ability to integrate quickly into new teams, communicate clearly in critical situations, and maintain meticulous documentation helped ensure safe, consistent care across a variety of hospital systems. Now, as a new AGACNP, I hope to bring my advanced education and years of critical care experience back to the ICU in a new role—this time as a provider. I’m eager to continue serving high-acuity patients while growing under the guidance of experienced intensivists and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. With a deep appreciation for the complexity of critical illness and the intensity of the ICU environment, I’m ready to take the next step in my career, contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes, and continue learning every day!
