My journey began as a Junior Ranger and Naturalist, sparking a lifelong passion for serving parks, preserves, and open spaces. Now, as a software engineer and CEO of Outway, I empower land management teams with tools to simplify their work, from the field to the office. Outway was born from research in the National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps program at the University of Washington, where we identified a critical gap: land managers—highly skilled, college-educated professionals—have been overlooked by modern technology. We aim to change that by providing a single platform designed specifically for their needs. From working offline in the backcountry to managing a field team from the office to advocating for funding at the board meeting, Outway is a connected workspace designed for land managers.
