Driven by a commitment to innovation and sustainability, I am an accomplished engineer with a Master’s in Human-Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. My passion lies in addressing complex challenges at the nexus of mobility, accessibility, and climate resilience, leveraging my technical expertise and innovative problem-solving skills to develop sustainable solutions. Throughout my career, I've led initiatives optimizing processes and delivering impactful results. For example, I pioneered the expansion of electrical validation programs, streamlining timelines by identifying and focusing on KPIs. As a validation engineer, my detailed analysis of long-term test data trends enabled me to identify new and more accurate test parameter ranges, resulting in a significant reduction in unnecessary test downtime and off-hours engineering support. I've also developed innovative solutions like novel passive radiator designs and conducted research on wheelchair propulsion methods, emphasizing the broad range of my skills and knowledge. More recently, I have been actively involved in synthesizing complex climate models to create digestible models for gamification of individual climate-positive actions. This involved developing quantifiable criteria for assessing the expected impact of climate-positive actions. Proficient in machine shop operations and design technology, I hold certifications in SAFe Agile 5.0, Design for Six Sigma, and Black Belt. My technical skills extend to tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Jira, enabling me to excel in various projects. My career has also been marked by a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. I have leveraged my project management skills to lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) activities at General Motors, oSTEM, and Stand with Trans - causes I am deeply devoted to. As the Scholarship Coordinator for oSTEM, I helped scale a historically important but small scholarship program through strategic and operational planning. As Vice President of GM’s 1500+ member LGBTQ+ employee resource group, I expanded membership by 50%, and worked with senior leadership to improve GM’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI) by evaluating and revising healthcare offerings for GM’s Trans community. Driven by my passion for creating accessible, resilient, and inclusive communities, I am actively seeking opportunities to make a positive impact on our planet.
