About Aaron Mastervick

Aaron obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours) in Political Science from the University of Alberta. Aaron then attended Queen's Law School and graduated with an LL.B. During law school, Aaron was asked to submit a Negotiation role-play exercise he authored to the Harvard Negotiation Project. Aaron was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2004. Aaron has been practicing exclusively in the area of Family Law since 2005. Aaron specializes in the following areas: 1. Advice and/or legal representation for married and not married relationships that end by separation, and involve any of the following issues: parenting / access, support (child and/or spousal), property, residence, and child protection issues. This includes, where necessary, the drafting of court materials and/or the attendance at court with the client. Drafting and/or providing independent legal advice for marriage contracts and/or cohabitation agreements. Drafting and/or providing independent legal advice for separation agreements. Providing practical advice to institutions and other professionals on how to address issues they confront that arise with separated parents. Providing letters of recognition of foreign divorce for the purposes of remarriage. Collaborative Law, which Aaron is particularly fond of as an approach to assist families during separation. While Aaron has appeared frequently and successfully in court, Aaron espouses the belief that the best solution is often the one that the parties negotiate between themselves.
