About Aaron Matson

As an experienced healthcare professional, I have dedicated my career to providing high-quality patient care and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. With 20 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as both an EMT and Paramedic, and 13 years as a firefighter paramedic, I have developed strong clinical skills and the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in high-stress situations. Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, which has allowed me to further expand my knowledge and skills in the healthcare field. As a nursing student, I am passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and believe that my diverse background in emergency services will enable me to excel in the nursing profession. In addition to my EMS and firefighting experience, I have also had the privilege of serving as the head instructor for White Pass Ski patrols OEC program for the past 5 years. In this role, I have been responsible for teaching and mentoring new ski patrol members, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe and effective care to injured skiers. My ultimate goal is to become a registered nurse in the ICU, where I can use my skills and experience to provide the highest level of care to critically ill patients. I am confident that my diverse background and passion for patient care make me a strong candidate for any ICU nursing position. Overall, I am committed to lifelong learning and professional growth, and I am excited to continue my career in healthcare as a registered nurse in the ICU.
