About Aaron Mellen

3 3L Law Student at South Texas College of Law experienced in conducting in-depth legal research (LexisNexis, Westlaw, Casemine, and Casetext), drafting memos/documents, participating in depositions, public speaking, and client development. I have always been passionate about law and politics and completed my Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. Rapidly upon graduation, I was presented with an international career opportunity as an educator in Asia. During my 2.5 years overseas, I was recognized for inspiring and empowering their youth and decided to continue the role in the US. Throughout my time in the education field, I elevated my skills in negotiation, presentation, public speaking, training, information management, and compliance. But my passion for the legal field continued to grow, and I embarked on my journey to take the LSAT and gain acceptance into South Texas College of Law, working at a law office during the summers. Currently, I serve as a Law Clerk at Baker-Wotring LLP, a nationally recognized commercial litigation and environmental law firm.
