About Aaron Murphy

Initially trained as a Mechanical Engineer, in parallel I received training in Communications Systems in the Signals Corps of the Defence Forces. I decided to switch careers to work in the Information & Communications Technologies sector as I was stimulated by the work I was doing with the Defence Forces, enrolled in IT Carlow on a degree course in electronic engineering, a sister course used by the Defence Forces. Joined Ripple Communications, to take up an opportunity as a Core Engineer which promised strong CPD, as part of the CPD programme I completed a Certificate in Internet Protocol Network Administration and Management. In this role I was tasked with managing the migration of the extensive network to and be escalation point for Customer Service Technicians. Assumed a management role for the Ripplecom Field Network Engineering team, where I was required to identify problems, develop solution options and select the most appropriate option, assign resources to implement the agreed solution and confirm that it is installed and commissioned. I also implement QMS documentation for best practices, installation standards and documenting work traceability. 2013 enrolled in a Master of Science IT Management course, achieving a 1st Class Honors. I gained knowledge of the IT management profession and main theories and concepts relating to the integration of current and emerging technologies together with the leadership and innovation skills to integrate solutions to business/industry needs. 2015 awarded the title of Associate Engineer 'AEng' with Engineers Ireland. 2016 joined Diebold Nixdorf Ireland in the role as Infrastructure Consultant and then a position as IT Systems Support Specialist EMEA, during my time with Diebold I was awarded a “Banking Award of Excellence” in 2018 from the VP Sales & Services UK/IRL and Senior Management Team and two “Above & Beyond” Awards by the IRL/UK Diebold Nixdorf Senior Management Team.
