About Aaron Nelson

I have worked in the healthcare field for five years. I have gained experience in healthcare information technology (HIT), nursing education, healthcare instructional design, and medical librarianship. I also hold masters degrees in library science and educational technology. As a healthcare technology specialist, I take pride in ensuring that the latest healthcare information and technology is taught to healthcare providers. Currently, I am responsible for consulting healthcare providers during the Intermountain Health Care ICENTRA implementation. This exciting pioneering project will be used for the upcoming Department of Defense electronic medical record implementation. My duties include elbow to elbow support for physician and clinical staff, providing subject matter expertise on Cerner Millenium Powerchart, and CPOE support and training during physician EMR courses. I am always trying to create an atmosphere that is fun, professional, and creative. I enjoy working with those who have difficulties learning technology. I don't believe in the digital divide and I believe that anyone is capable of learning new tools and technologies.
