About Aaron Ngai

One of the biggest reasons I am a Designer today is because of video games. The Legend of Zelda being a big one, I was always impressed by the graphics and the story that I never realize how well the game's interface or layout was made to make controlling or playing the game easy to grasp. These features being undermined made me realize how well the series continued to improve their graphics, but most importantly their game play, how everything I knew about the game were all in the same spots on the screen, how certain controls were became second nature even on a new game. It fascinates me how Game Designers were able to do all of this just by user responses, advice from players, and even alpha/beta testing. Because of video games as a User Experience/Interface Designer, my view of design is an interactive process. Based off of user response we are able to improve the interaction, the usability, and experience users will have with designs. To constantly keep challenging ourselves and our creative process to find new ways to createa better understanding between the user and the design.
