About Aaron Reilly

I am an Emergency Medicine physician and former US Navy Flight Surgeon with specific training in wilderness, austere, and race medicine. I am currently part of the Austere and Mountain medicine faculty at the University of New Mexico, where I am involved in the education of professional medical providers, from paramedics to physicians, on providing medical support in remote locations. My experience includes support of a number of ultra-marathons as a part of the medical team, including races in Utah, the Amazon Jungle, and Death Valley, and I am currently the medical director for the Trans-Pecos Ultra as well as a member of the UNM Reach and Treat team. I have also participated in a number of endurance races, including adventure races, triathlons, and an ultra marathon. I am looking to get involved with organizations that provide education on any level of austere and wilderness medicine. I am also available to provide medical consulting, logistics recommendations, and medical support for race directors of ultra-endurance events.
