About Aaron Roberts

Hello and thank you for visiting my profile! I graduated from the Moritz College of Law in 2022. I was driven to the legal field out of a desire to use my strengths in a way that would help people. My background in psychology gave me strong technical reading and writing skills and the ability to think critically about abstract concepts. I thought that these skills lent themselves naturally to the legal profession, so here I am. As far as my legal interests go, I'm very taken with the esoteric nature of IP law. Defining and dealing in the abstract concepts underpinning areas like trademark, copyright, and patent law is intellectually stimulating and increasingly relevant in this digital world. I also have a strong public service bent. I've always liked to feel like I'm making a difference societally, and I feel that's reflected in many of the public-oriented positions I've held. I'm honored to assist in a nonprofit organization designed to provide opportunities to those in Morgan County, Ohio, where I grew up. Also, while I've (hopefully) left these years behind me, I do have fairly developed food preparation skills from my time in the food service industry. I also have familiarity with survey-creation from my time as a research assistant in undergrad. I have small-group management experience from my job coach years, online clan management, and running Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. That may sound silly, but it takes a lot of effort to coordinate play sessions that accommodate everyone's busy schedules. And on that note, yes I'm kind of a nerd.
