About Aaron S.

Strategic leader with a philosophical mindset and a passion for educational innovation. As Head of Education and Quality Assurance, I lead transformation processes that create tangible impact for students, educators, and society at large. My mission? To co-create policies that are sustainable, inclusive, and actionable. As Karl Marx once said: “The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it.” I take that call to action seriously. My expertise lies in shaping and implementing strategic education policies, guiding change processes, and strengthening quality assurance in higher education. I believe in the power of networks, co-creation, and critical reflection as drivers of progress. I specialize in Service Learning pedagogy, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-informed policy development. Occasionally, I translate my reflections into opinion pieces, which have been published in leading Belgian media such as De Standaard and Knack. Outside of work, I serve as an assistant referee in national football leagues and as a member of the Ethics Committee of Voetbal Vlaanderen—where values, accountability, and fair play take center stage. In short: I believe every day brings new opportunities to contribute to a better world. I welcome dialogue and collaboration with those who share that ambition.
