About Aaron S.

The most important thing to me, no matter where I go, is creating genuine relationships. Whether between friends, team members, or between the business and the customer, I believe that there is a great richness to being seen and heard, and being treated with significance. I studied Youth Ministry at Master's College and Seminary in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. It was a very special and rewarding experience which led to many deeply-held friendships that I am grateful for to this day. MCS is a school with a wonderful culture of relationship, and educators who are willing to meet their students on a personal level to enrich their learning experience. I am in my fifth year of working for Starbucks Canada. It has taught me much about creating genuine relationships in a short span of time, as well as fostering real and true depth of friendship with those seen day after day in our business. Being allowed this window into people's lives as they share their daily happenings, as well as events of greater significance, has been a treasured part of my professional life and taught me the value of genuine empathy and compassion in a professional environment. As a team leader in my current role, I have learned that when we lead, we must do so in such a way that those who follow our leadership will strive to give their all, knowing that we will give them our very best to help them have an amazing, fulfilling work experience that leaves them feeling appreciated and rewarded.
