About Aaron Schindler

I currently manage a small clinical practice at Cannon River Acupuncture Clinic in downtown Northfield. I am an adjunct faculty at Northwestern Health Sciences University, supervising acupuncture students in the Human Performance Center that provide sports medicine treatments. I have been a research lab technician for the Mayo Clinic, and I have also been a caregiver for adults in group homes. I have worked in a cancer care lab at the Saint Paul Cancer Center. I have 20-plus years of experience in a wide range of healthcare settings and am ready to put that to work for you. I also completed my doctorate in acupuncture and Chinese medicine at the Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego. Specialties: I am trained in orthopedic acupuncture, sports medicine, moxibustion therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Tui Na, cupping myofascial release, gua sha therapy, Korean hand therapy, acupuncture facial rejuvenation, oncology acupuncture, reproductive acupuncture. My style of Acupuncture is a mixture of TCM and Korean Sports medicine. I also utilize as many evidence-informed treatments as I can find. I also practice Bagua Zhang Kung Fu, Eight Direction Qi Gong, Ananda Marga Yoga, and meditation. I also completed the certification program for Korean Sports Team Doctor from the Donguibogam Academy USA in 2018. I have also been a public speaker and advocate for traditional medicines as a nondrug therapy and opioid alternative by testifying at the Minnesota Legislature. I attended the Pusan University's 2018 Workshop on Korean Medicine in Modern Health Care and presented how acupuncture is being integrated into Minnesota healthcare systems. I have also volunteered for the past ten years with a Veteran Support group called the Mission Project, treating veterans and their families at monthly meetups. I enjoy growing and producing medicinal herbs products like wines, topical trauma liniments, and hiking with my two dogs Spike and Fred.
