I am entering Level 5 in my Mechanical Engineering Course at Canterbury Christ Church University. I have recieved much education in the field so far and will graduate the Level 6 course with honours as a Bachelor of engineering. July 2021 Inspection Officer - DuckWorth & Kent Ltd I reached out to Duckworth and Kent wondering if they had any work experience I could do for a week or so, this was due to many of the apprenticeships I applied for turning me down for my lack of workshop experience. This was a great week of learning/working, I was tasked with operating height gauges, CMM machines and multiple handheld measuring instruments within the inspection office. I was shown how to run and tweak the programs on the CMM, correctly document and record the stages of inspection to ensure the client had sufficient proof once the job was completed and I was also inspecting various finished products made in-house. I believe Terry Gleeson, the Managing Director was very please with how I had been by the week's end. So much so that he would be happy to provide a reference for myself. February 2019 - Present Office Administrator - PestUK I have held this post in the company for over two years as of writing this, initially this did feel like a lot of responsibility for a 16 year old to take on as a first job. But looking back I would say the constant customer interaction over the phone had boosted my confidence and the business side of things has prepared me for a career with such ties.
