My primary research focus investigating the impact of study tours abroad on Japanese university students' growth in intercultural effectiveness. This is the focus of both my dissertation and my JSPS Kiban B kakenhi grant (#21H00554; 2021-2026; JPY Other areas of research include role clarity in team-teaching in the Japanese context and the potential for increasing English literacy in Japan through dialogic book reading in English delivered by Japanese parents of 4 to 7 year olds.
