About Aaron Sum

Aaron is an Engineer in Training (EIT) that has garnered his experience working within different R&D environments. Initially working with Stretchable Devices Lab at Simon Fraser University. He worked synthesizing thermoplastics with nanoparticles, with goals of altering properties of existing 3D printable filament. With his time at HeadStart Medical, a medical devices startup focused on custom 3D printed orthotics treating plagiocephaly. Aaron was heavily involved with hands on fabrication, additional to, generating ISO compliant documentation. Furthermore, he worked closely with the co-founder in researching and drafting IP, along with, design and prototype generation for their envisioned future for orthotic systems. Moving to Dynamic Attractions, he started off designing and prototyping various testing apparatuses, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical ride system components, as well as, drafting up documentation regarding the operation of ride systems. Recently, he has been focusing on directing and executing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) working on now what would be the third fleet of Ride Vehicles (RVs). With manufacturing done in house. Aaron works closely with production to coordinate for reworks and to ensure retests are completed before RVs are shipped to site.
