Background

About Aaron Sylvester

I'm a mechanical minded professional with a strong foundation in both business and engineering, shaped by a lifelong passion for mechanics, problem-solving, economics, and finance. I began my career in retail management after earning a Business Management Diploma (associate degree), but soon realized I needed a more hands-on, technically challenging path. This led me back to university to study Mechanical Engineering, where I fed my passion for knowledge while gaining diverse field experience in gas plant operations, surveying, and heavy hauling. Since earning my degree, I've worked in industrial estimating, project management, and project controls, contributing to major initiatives including the construction of supercritical power plants, upstream and downstream oil and gas projects, maintenance and turnarounds, semiconductor tool hookups, and work in the chemical and polymers industry. Along the way, I’ve developed a deep understanding of safety culture, customer relations, union labor, and quality management. Outside of work, I’m a proud husband and father of three, and an avid dirt biker, snowboarder, cyclist, and muscle car enthusiast. I thrive on challenges—whether on the job site or in the garage—and I’m always looking for opportunities to grow, build, and lead.
