About Aaron Venasky

I was introduced to the world of finance through my hockey playing career. It starting when I was in Chicago on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. At the age of 18 I was a card runner briefly before my playing rights were acquired by a team from Iowa. From that experience I really wanted my post hockey career to be in the financial industry. Since 2007, I have been trading options and equities on behalf of others. I presently have my Series 3,4,7,24,55,66. I believe it's one thing to do your job well but something totally different from doing that job at an extremely high level. My time on the RBCWM's Private Client Group Trading Desk has seen our group perform at that extremely high level. We have been awarded numerous RBC "Award of Excellence" honors and the annual "Award of Excellence". It is something that I am really proud of. In addition to my work at RBC, I served as the President of the Minnesota Security Dealers Association. It is a professional trade organization that works to improve the ethics, business standards, and working environment for members, who are engaged in the buying, selling, and trading of securities. I have also held the role of Vice-President, Treasurer, as well as Secretary. The experience was enjoyable as well as challenging by navigating through the Covid pandemic. Outside of the financial industry, I am very active in hockey. I presently act as the Director of Player Personnel and Assistant Coach for the Austin Bruins of the NAHL. I previously worked with Lakeville South HS as an Assistant Coach for their Varsity team. We were Section 1AA Champions and State Semi-Finalists in 2017. The Cougars were Section 1AA Finalists in 2018. I served as the Player Development Coordinator for the Minnesota Icemen Hockey Club. The Icemen are a youth hockey organization that is based in the Twin Cities. As Player Development Coordinator, my focus will be on individual skill development, offensive/defensive tactics, and help coaches implement team philosophies. Many of the training materials that will be used come from advanced Junior, Collegiate, and National teams,
