About Aaron Wc Smith

With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, including more than 7 as a Superintendent, I’m a quality and results driven professional with a strong track record of delivering high quality, multi million dollar commercial projects. Starting with a solid trade background in carpentry, I bring practical insights and technical expertise to every project. To date, I’ve successfully led 30+ projects valued between $5-50 million, ensuring the highest standards of quality. A number of these projects have been featured in marketing materials, showcasing exemplary work for previous employers. One of my proudest accomplishments was leading a team of 6, 2 direct reports earned promotions through my mentorship. I managed 6 floors, roughly 200k Sqft of space of The Amazon (The Post) project, which received the Gold Award for Tenant Improvement over $5 million and the Silver Award of Excellence over $10 million at the Vancouver Regional Construction Association Awards. Throughout my career, I’ve learned that success is rooted in open, honest communication and in building trusting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders. I’m committed to maintaining a collaborative, transparent work environment where everyone feels valued and heard. My ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex projects has equipped me with the skills to look further a field with the next possible career chapter as a Project Manager, where I can drive larger initiatives and contribute to strategic project planning. I’m currently working towards a Construction Project Management Certification and the Project Management Professional Certification, with a long term goal of achieving Gold Seal Accreditation.
