About Aaron Wright

My journey in Computer Science began at a young age being naturally drawn to how the basics of computers worked. Over the years while at school I would go on to learn Python and develop IOS applications in swift. While programming had not come as naturally to me as economics, I decided to undertake a a degree in Economics and Finance at Curtin University. During this time I still pursued the the art of programming taking online courses to further my knowledge in C++ & Java. I used my love of video games to apply these skills by making mods for Valve's Counter Strike Global Offensive (C++) and Mojang's Minecraft (Java). The aspect of bypassing a games anti-cheat and thus its security while remaining undetected was always a fascinating aspect of the process which ultimately sparked my interest in Cyber Security. Entering 2023 I've taken the next step enrolling in a fast tracked Cyber Security course at the University of Western Australia. This course and certification should provide me with all the necessary knowledge to obtain my Security + certification and enter the 2024 workforce. While maintaining a near perfect grade in this course I am actively looking for work already to further my knowledge. Flowing into 2024 I began work as a graduate project manager specializing in projects where security was paramount. This has been an excellent experience where I continue to learn more every day.
