To emulate this professionally, I advocate for exercise as medicine in community-based programs that boost physical literacy and motivation for healthy lifestyle behaviors. improves convenience and affordability to expert guidance on physical activity, fitness, and wellness. — Health & Fitness: • Cancer Fit Trainer (2024) • Certified Cancer Recovery Specialist (2024) • Certified Brain Health Trainer (2022) • Senior Fitness Specialist (2022) • Arthur Murray Amateur Dance Bronze I (2020) • Corrective Exercise Specialist (2020) • Cancer Exercise Specialist (2016) • Registered Personal Trainer (2009) • BSK / MSK (2010 & 2013) Sports Performance: • Titleist Performance Institute Certified Level One (2017) • NCAA Division One Strength & Conditioning Coach (2012 - 2014) — As an experienced organizational leader and “solo-preneur”, I strive to be a lifelong learner. Through 15+ years working in exercise, I have designed, implemented, and/or managed successful programs in the clinical inpatient and outpatient supervised exercise therapy, athletic strength and conditioning, and general fitness branches. I am professionally committed to continue growing in my experience and knowledge of the health and wellness industries. Scientifically proven, methodologically sound health and performance enhancement is my passion. My mission is to increase accessibility for those who need it most to the skill sets surrounding physical literacy. I hope to inspire and empower self-motivation and self-responsibility to take control of our own health and fitness journeys. Challenging and improving physical skillsets and fitness will elevate our quality of life. The process of building new motor skills translates to achieving other goals we set for ourselves. From the first step of setting time aside for self-care to completing a grueling physical goal, or crossing off an item on our daily "To Do" list to the realization of a life-long pursuit — exercise teaches us to invest in ourselves, map out and track our goals, to address barriers with persistence, seek out positive support, and celebrate accomplishments. Spanning youth to older adults, healthy to clinical populations, for any and all — self-awareness and -analysis, goal setting and self-tracking, time management, self-talk, visualization and imagery, practice and perseverance, and self-recognition — the underlying lessons from just one successfully completed workout can apply to any goal when the right considerations are made.
