About Aashi Mehrotra

I am a soon-to-graduate STEM MBA candidate with an MD and a specialization in clinical onco-pathology. Alongside my pursuit of a full-time MBA at UC Davis, I am also working part-time for Ultragenyx pharmaceuticals after a successful summer MBA internship there. I have 7+ years of clinical and corporate experience. After many years as a consulting pathologist, I transitioned into new product introduction & launch planning roles in bio-technology firms, where I have held positions across product commercialization, product marketing, portfolio strategy, clinical affairs & supply chain operations. I have successfully planned & executed multiple product launches ranging from gene therapies for ultra rare diseases to fast moving consumer healthcare products. In my current role at Ultragenyx I am helping plan global launches of two novel gene therapies. I am part of the product commercialization team & have quickly understood the key drivers in the entire value stream from clinical trials to launch planning & market access. By the time I graduate, both products are expected to be successfully launched across the world. I am excited that my pedigree as a pathologist & my MBA training have found a symbiotic existence in the world of bio-technology.
