About Aaveri Sengupta

Aspiring Researcher (Ph.D.) with 9 years of long-time laboratory experience detailed hands-on skills and analytical power. Capable of handling multiple research projects independently. Currently pursuing Postdoctoral research on how stress affects the morphological and functional aspects of human-derived neurons and glia in particular by modeling hormonal stress using human iPSC-derived cells as experimental models. Another part of the project is to find out crucial molecular correlates contributing toward phenotypic changes in these cells on the basis of which novel therapeutic molecules can be explored to alleviate the stress-induced adverse effects. My Ph.D. thesis work was on the psycho-physiological aspects of intellectual disability in humans and the role of nutritional as well as psycho-behavioral interventions for the betterment of their cognitive and health status. Another novel part of this work was to identify blood biomarkers associated with progression of the pathophysiology of mental retardation. I am currently interested in a position where I can use my regulated laboratory project management and writing skills to design efficient reliable studies that can benefit the team and the organization as a whole.
