About Aayan Agarwal

Aayan is a junior at Purdue University majoring in CS and AI. He was a SWE intern at Meta at the MPK HQ during Summer 2025, working on Professional Mode. He co-founded the Humanoid Robot Club, one of the largest clubs at Purdue, with 1.5k+ members and $250k+ raised in just 9 months. The club's mission is to build a walking humanoid robot capable of space exploration. He's also the Logistics Chair of TEDxPurdueU, leading a team of 30 individuals to organize one of the largest TEDx conferences in Indiana. He's researching with the Department of Political Science under Dr. Daniel Schiff, co-director of the GRAIL lab, on an NIJ-funded project analyzing policing technology and accountability. Additionally, he serves as a teaching assistant for CS 180, a course for freshmen in computer science, where he hosts office hours and lab sessions to answer students' questions and reinforce their understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts. In high school, he was awarded a certificate of merit from the President for an electricity sustainability project that analyzed sources of electricity usage and calculated the net monetary savings from installing solar panels and using energy-efficient appliances.
