About Aayan Momin

Making connections is what I love. To hear stories and to hear experiences that I can seek for myself throughout my learning journeys is exciting. One way I have made connections is through a simple game of pool. Playing billiards competitively and being involved in my community have helped me outreach and gain unique experiences that help me market myself to new people. I'm currently a student at the University of Texas at Dallas, pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Finance, as my interest is in banking and investment portfolios. My previous experiences in the hospitality business, scouting, and oil and gas industry have helped me develop connections and build a layer of exposure to the corporate world's social skills, delegation, and strategic planning. Starting in 2022, I stepped foot in the hospitality business to undergo and challenge my social skills in strategic planning, interpersonal communication, and public speaking skills. As a result, I strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills, adhered to a hospitality business's new and different finances, and learned the monetary and time investments required for a successful establishment. My interest in the finance field comes from many experiences. Such experiences come from the stock market and connections I have made with people from behind the bar at Mastro's. Meeting new business people and organizations helps me explore my opportunities for learning and growth in the business world. I have grown not just as an investor but also as a marketer to market myself to people and groups so that I can make connections, understand their professions, and how I can develop myself as a person. Overall the financial standpoint in our world has grasped my attention because our planet revolves around it daily. Excluding my business ventures, I love to help others. I volunteer in multiple student organizations and pass my experiences to others in my community and abroad. I learned to learn and give my time and service when needed.
