About Abbas Sandouk

Over the last 20 years I have been working with mobile phone industry at international companies, started at Ericsson Mobile Platforms, then moved to Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, which was renamed to Sony Mobile Communications in 2012, and since 2018 it is called Sony Nordic, which is legally related to Sony Europe. My work responsibilities have been varied among development, verification, and currently team lead and project management on a global level focusing on signaling protocols of 2G/3G/4G/5G in Sony Smartphone projects as well as none Smartphone projects (e.g. Sony electric vehicle VISION-S). I have got my Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering from Syria, then Master and PhD. degrees in mobile telecommunications from Japan. With such a combination of international educational background and international work experience, and in addition to the deep technical knowledge which, I have accumulated in mobile telecommunication systems, I have built an excellent multicultural understanding, human relations skills, and ability to work with people from different backgrounds. I have excellent English as well as Japanese language skills, which is a unique combination between technical experience about mobile phones industry and knowledge about Japanese language and culture. Arabic is my mother language.
