About Abbey Houde

Dr. Abbey’s passion for helping others is palpable. She is fascinated with the body’s ability to heal and transform itself. She loves keeping up to date on the latest discoveries in clinical neuroscience research and applying those in helping people heal and restore functions. Dr. Abbey’s journey into health care started when world-renowned Dr. Frederick Carrick helped a close family friend dramatically regain her life. Dr. Abbey saw hope restored and dedicated her course in life to helping those who have lost hope in managing their chronic condition. She is known for listening and developing innovative therapy techniques all while maintaining a comforting atmosphere. She completed her Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine degree from National University of Health Sciences. Simultaneously, Dr. Abbey served as President of the Functional Neurology Club and dedicated thousands of hours in nationwide clinical observation and participation in rehabilitative neurology to attain a Diplomate in Chiropractic / Functional Neurology, the highest level of training in functional neurology. She also received her Brain Health Professional certification from Amen University, taught by Dr. Daniel Amen, one of America’s leading psychiatrists and brain health experts. She learned to understand the management of mood and behavioral disorders, as well as, a deeper understanding between the balance of the mind and the brain. She incorporates this with the principles of functional neurology to help a vast majority of people. She feels that the more a person understands their condition, the more empowered they become. Therefore, she dedicates time to listen, answer and teach you if necessary.
