I'm a freelance Middle East correspondent, based in Beirut. I have been here for The Times and The Telegraph since 2019, arriving shortly before the devastating economic crisis began. I freelance across a number of other US & UK publications, writing news, features and analysis. In my cub reporting days, I worked on investigations into civilian casualties and covert western military actions in the Middle East and Afghanistan for Airwars and The Bureau of Investigative Journalism. This portfolio of work led to me being hired to spend almost a year working on the New York Times' 2022 Pulitzer-prize winning investigative series The Civilian Casualty Files.I am available for all kinds of one-off and part-time gigs: from reporting, investigations, editing, writing, newsletters, data analysis etc. With regard to full-time roles, I am ideally looking for a role that will blend a field correspondent position with OSINT reporting.
