About Abby Avery

Second-year law student at Mississippi College School of Law. Determined to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Seeking mentorship and networking opportunities in the legal community. This past summer, I gained valuable experience as an intern at Mount Juliet Legal, PLC in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. While there, I honed my legal research and writing skills by drafting general service agreements, discovery requests, and demand letters for a business. This experience provided a window into the world of transactional law and its role in business operations, sparking my interest in this field. However, the internship also solidified my desire to explore other areas of practice. Mississippi College School of Law provides a diverse curriculum, and I'm eager to delve deeper into different legal specializations to discover the perfect fit for my skills and interests. I thrive in environments where I am challenged to perform at my highest level. I have daily opportunities to further develop my research, writing, and oral advocacy skills due to my membership and involvement in the Moot Court Board. I feel that my accomplishments academically and as a member of the Moot Court Board speaks to my abilities as a strong writer and effective researcher- both of which are invaluable skills that would make me a strong addition to any team.
