Transitioned from the leadership at the YMCA in SJ, to spearhead Newcomers Employment Initiatives, launching groundbreaking programs like 'Skills Launch', and initiatives such as 'Rural Employment Language Initiative'(RELI) and 'The Bridge' to provide vital pathways to employment and education. • Advocated for Foreign Qualifications Recognition, empowering newcomer women and leading initiatives for Internationally Educated Nurses, ensuring their talents are valued in the workforce. • With a unique blend of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, university, and IT industry, I offer innovative problem-solving and effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Current Role: As an alumna of the UNB Wallace McCain Strategic Executive Program, I bring extensive experience in the Telecommunication sector to my role as Strategic Program Director at the McKenna Institute at UNB. Here, I lead efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in the tech industry and collaborate with the NB education system on the 'Digital Transformation’ roadmap. Recognition: Honored to receive the NB Minister's Award for Excellence in Championing Gender Equality - VIVE Award and an alumna of the Strategic Executives Program at the University of New Brunswick's Wallace McCain Institute.
