About Abby Humphreys

I'm a lifetime lover of the written word, and I've been lucky enough to make it a large part of my career thus far.For more than a decade, I've been writing and editing everything from dense, technical web articles to persuasive and entertaining blog posts. I'm comfortable in environments that require fast learning on the job and working under deadline, and I know how to ask the right questions to fill in any gaps in my knowledge and create a finished product that's accurate and easy to understand.I'm also interested in continuing to learn how to ethically integrate AI into the writing/editing process. I previously helped develop some best practices for using AI to assist with prewriting tasks like brainstorming and outlining (if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, right?).Whether writing my own piece or editing someone else's, my goal is to create something that is useful to real people - not just content for content's sake. Outside of work, I'm a music and video game nerd. I write casual blog posts reviewing Newbery Medal-winning children's books in my free time, and some of my favorite things include visiting new coffee shops and hanging out with my two cats, Joan and Pixie.
