About Abby Knopp

Senior nonprofit executive with more than several years of experience leading complex initiatives for mission-driven organizations. I bring a strong commitment to equitable access and equity across the social sector. I began my career with a heavy focus on educational programming and engagement. Over time, and with each career move, I have gravitated towards building organizational excellence from within. Now at UJA-Federation of New York, I lead a team whose raison d'etre is to support a strong, sustainable and connected eco-system of non-profits to serve the needs of the community and maximize the impact of UJA’s mission and work on the ground. Careful oversight as well as assessment of performance and management allows us to make data-informed funding and policy decisions. The Network Department provides our core partners with general operating funding and other resources to develop organizational excellence and maximize synergies. My areas of expertise include: strategic planning with a commitment to goals-setting, people management and mentoring, partnership building, team leadership, and board and committee relations.
