About Abby Lee
I am currently a second-year master’s student at Queen’s University in the Translational Medicine program, where I am fulfilling my passion for helping individuals by applying basic scientific research to diseases to improve patient outcomes. Following this, I aim to pursue a MD and/or PhD, where helping, advocating, and improving the lives of individuals is at the forefront. I have always been keen on making a difference in people’s lives and was able to do so in previous positions, such as a special needs camp counselor and hospital volunteer, and my goal is to have an occupation that does just that. I aim to use research skills that would be acquired through my master’s to help identify treatments and therapies that address molecular mechanisms of diseases while simultaneously offering the best patient care possible.
