Background

About Abby Lin

Born, raised and educated in Taiwan, followed by more studies in Japan and Singapore, I have seven years of real-world commodity trading experience in the Oil & Gas Industry in Japan and Singapore before being called to the Singapore Bar in July 2022. After graduating from National Taiwan University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and a Minor degree in Economics, I obtained a Master of Science Degree in Metallurgy Engineering at the Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, under Panasonic Scholoarship. After receiving my master's degree, I worked for several blue-chip Japanese and European suppliers, coordinating critical project orders in North America and Asia for tubular steel piping with high-value industry-leading clients. These real-world work experiences in project management, combined with my vital education, honed my analytical skills and careful attention to detail before a career shift into the law field in 2016. I graduated in 2020 from the Singapore Management University Juris Doctor Programme. I look forward to leveraging my international working experience, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills as a practising attorney in the Singapore legal field of M&A, maritime, and construction.
