Freelance Intellectual Property (IP) lawyer and advisor. Advises a broad range of businesses from start-up to scale-up to large international organisations. Has provided IP advice to number of IP-dependent businesses which, because of the importance of IP to their business, has meant advising on the strategic direction of the company also. Pro-active thinker who identifies and seeks out solutions to problems without being consulted. Recently launched an IP service aimed at start-up and scale-up businesses to try and provide IP advice at an early stage of their life cycle. Specialises in litigation but has a broad range of experience which covers the key IP rights. Significant experience working on litigation and in an advisory capacity for clients spanning across a number of sectors including media, telecommunications, life sciences and retail. Obtained a first class degree in Biochemistry from Bath University which led to an initial focus on pharmaceutical patents and advising clients in the Life Sciences sector. However, has also acted on a number of electronics and mechanical patents. Technical background provides the ability to grasp new technology quickly and advise on the IP issues and concerns.
