About Abby Simmons

I earned my Bachelor's degree majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Video Production and modules in Organizational Communication and Visual Design. The primary focus of my degree was on video production but I also gained strong backgrounds in graphic design, photography, writing, social media marketing, and learned all about how to work with people (group dynamics, conflict management, project management, and Industrial Organizational Psychology). I have experience in the creative/ content creation side of things as well as how to be organized and manage projects and people efficiently. In college, I was determined to learn as much as I could about each stage of video production and any other filed that related to it. I learned how to do each step in production and how to speak the language of each position so no matter what role I fell into, I could communicate effectively with other team members. This has lead me to have a variety of jobs at many different types of companies where I have been able to grow my skills, often in areas I didn't expect. I have split most of my career between video editing and producing as those have been what I have enjoyed and excelled at most. You can view my portfolio through the link below.
