About Abby Stec

Abby Stec is Director of Development and Partnerships at Elephant Thoughts Educational Outreach. She is a LEED™ Accredited Professional and is the Owner/Operator of S-tec Consulting, Project Management. Abby has had extensive training in the areas of LEED™ for Construction, LEED™ for Homes, LEED™ for New Construction, LEED™ Core Concepts and Strategies and LEED™ for Existing Buildings. Abby has been a front line ambassador for several public, private and government sector organizations where she has championed a diversity of large scale projects. She has over 12 years of experience in communications and development including such tasks as fiscal planning, budgeting, asset management and cost benefit analysis. Abby was recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals as the recipient of a national development award in 2010 for outstanding contributions to her profession. She was identified for her efforts in strategic planning, marketing and brand development, fund raising, proposal writing, event coordination, advancement, campaign implementation/facilitation, research and database maintenance, Abby is an excellent communicator and facilitator and is known for her pioneering efforts within the greater business community. She has secured major stakeholders and identified strategic alliances across Ontario in a substantive way. Abby has been engaged with a wide network of small-medium sized businesses throughout the South Central region. In addition to her career in Business Development, Abby has served on several Boards and continues to give back to the community. She currently holds a position as Past Chair of the Environment Network in Collingwood and a past member of the Rotary Club of South Georgian Bay.
