About Abdela Boukari

Abdela Boukari, from Benin, is a specialist in Crisis and Risk Management related to water and climate. He is the Deputy General Organizer of the Organization of Youth for Water and Climate Change (OJECC-BENIN), a member of the World Youth Parliament for Water, and an alumnus of the Fall 2024 FXB Climate Advocates Program. Abdela is part of an international community of climate experts and activists, which strengthens his role as a climate ambassador and advocate for sustainable solutions to the water crisis. A dynamic young leader, he is actively engaged in concrete initiatives focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). In October 2024, he initiated and coordinated “Youth Actions for Adaptation,” supported by the Global Center on Adaptation, as part of the first Global Youth Adaptation Action Day, launched at #COP28 in Dubai. This initiative indirectly impacted about fifty young Africans, highlighting the challenges of adapting to climate change. Abdela aspires to contribute to strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities, integrating youth into global decision-making processes, and fostering innovation in water management and climate change adaptation.
