Participates in development and assists with administration of a radiation safety program as required by the Radiation Safety Officer including compliance with all regulating and certifying agencies. Monitors a personnel radiation monitoring program for Radiation Oncology as required. Prepares calculation and verifies shielding required for new or renovated treatment rooms. Provides performance specification, acceptance testing, and commissioning of new equipment. Calibration of imaging equipment. Safety and Quality in Radiotherapy and Diagnoses. Operational knowledge of radiation physics, dosimetry, biology, and shielding. Ability to independently operate as a clinical medical physicist, interacting with staff and management of various clinical sites Excellent skills to solve any problems and issues in Radiation Oncology department
