About Abdu Mohammed

I am interested in working in data management, data analyst and data scientist positions. I have many years experience of managing data in different programs of health like TB, HIV, EPI,surveillance(Polio, Measles and other VPDs) etc. in governmental, non-governmental and UN agencies. My professional experience in a data management started in working in Central Statistical agency (CSA) of Ethiopia as a STATISTICIAN. I had successfully coordinated several national surveys organized by the head office in many hard to reach areas of the country. I had delivered training on different socio economic surveys for field supervisors and data collectors. Afterwards, I joined the NGO environment working as data analyst, data coordinator and M&E coordinator in the University of California Santiago-Ethiopia which was engaged in HIV care and support program in the unified forces (Military, Police & prison administration) of Ethiopia. I have also worked for Management Science for Health (MSH) as Data Officer for the TB project undertaken in the organization. I was assigned to coordinate Oromia region to monitor, coordinate, train health workers at health facility level on data related activities and compile weekly, monthly and quarterly activity reports of the project. I have worked as a Data Manager in World Health Organization PNG country office. I was coordinating EPI and surveillance data management activities in the country from February 2014 to June 2016. I was also woking as consultant (data management & VPD survellace) on the PNG polio outbreak response from March 2018 to June 2019. Recently, I was working as a daa management consultant in WHO WPRO VDI unit. Currently I am working as consultant on VPD survellance, Covid 19 vaccination & RI in Papua New Guinea, world health organization since October 2021. I have also good knowledge of different statistical & mapping soft wares like EPI Info, SPSS, STATA, CSPRO, Health Mapper, ARCGIS, and QGIS etc. Thank you very much in advance for your consideration.
