About Abdul Ghafar

Dr Abdul Ghafar is a senior lecturer in entrepreneurship and marketing. He has developed his research interest around the field of entrepreneurship and innovation. Published in Scopus indexed journals and participated in international academic conferences in the areas of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial education, social entrepreneurship, social innovation, and corporate social responsibility. He is also a passionate entrepreneurship educator, where he has developed and taught different entrepreneurship-related courses including social entrepreneurship, marketing & sales management, new venture creation, managing innovation, design thinking process, and capstone research project. His teaching is largely informed by best practices in industry and research interests in entrepreneurial learning process. He has influenced, mentored and coached many novice entrepreneurs to setup their startup and achieve sustainable growth and success. He focuses on promoting and stimulating entrepreneurial mindsets in students, to equip them with aspirations and with tools that will be invaluable to their learning process. He maintains strong links with the industry partners, e.g. through seminars, workshops, projects, guest speaker, and other forms of collaborative activities.
