A highly professional metallurgist/engineer with over 15 years of successful experience in developing, simplifying, and optimizing metallurgical process flowsheets for the recovery of strategic metals including lithium, cobalt, nickel, rare earths, gold, silver, copper, vanadium, titanium, manganese, scandium, gallium, germanium, and PGMs from complex ores, concentrates, tailings and recycling materials through laboratory, pilot and plant operations. • Strong competence in managing projects through developing proposals; initiating, planning, budgeting, scheduling, organizing, coordinating, developing, and establishing methods and procedures; assessing and mitigating risks; analyzing results and mass balance; writing reports with recommendations, maintaining H&S standards; and communicating with clients, stakeholders and cross-functional teams. • Hands-on experience in atmospheric and pressure leaching, acid-bake in the rotary kiln, solvent extraction, ion exchange, cementation, electrowinning, precipitation, crystallization, cyanidation, and solution chemistry. • Experienced in managing solid-liquid separation projects, which include flocculant selection, thickening/settling, rheology, vacuum, and pressure filtration. • Excellent experience in managing and operating pilot plant campaigns for the recovery of valuable metals including lithium, REEs, titanium, vanadium, copper, cobalt, nickel, and gold. • Hands-on experience in commissioning, operating and decommissioning of pilot and demonstration plant at the client’s facility in South America and the USA. • Strong customer orientation and exceptional ability to negotiate and administer contracts, including resources required, cost estimation, schedule, and vendors for the provision of services and equipment. • Experience in critical evaluation of processes and process flow diagrams, leading technical teams and cross-functional groups by supervising, training, directing, and evaluating skills. • Succinct verbal, and written communication skills; and excellent capability to maximize cash flow, scientific and technical reports writing and reviewing skills. • Proven experience to characterize feed materials, process solutions, finished products, solid and liquid wastes, tailings with ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AAS, IR, XRF, XRD, PSD, turbidity, SG, pH, Eh/ORP following ISO, LIMs and mass/material balance. • Published over 50 papers and 3 book chapters, wrote over 20 technical reports, presented over 22 articles at conferences, and hold 5 US patents in the field of extractive metallurgy
