About Abdul Koroma

I am currently a Senior Partner at Jabbi Associates Law Firm, and also Legal Adviser of the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society. I hold a Masters of Advanced Studies (LLM) in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law, Geneva, Switzerland, a joint Masters programme between the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, Switzerland. During my LLM project, I did a research on the "Accountability Dilemma of Child Soldiers". My main areas of study during my LLM are International Humanitarian Law, Refugee Law, International Criminal Law, Public International Law, Conduct of Hostilities, Legal Protection of Children in Armed Conflicts and Post conflicts, Human Rights in Armed Conflict and International Human Rights Law. I have received notable awards of excellence in law. In 2013, I was awarded the Standard Chartered Bank Award of Excellence in Law when I graduated with a first class upper degree in Law from the University of Sierra Leone. I was recently awarded as a Human Rights Defender by the African Achievers Awards held in London.
