About Abdulla Abed

Abdulla Abed is a Reservoir Engineering Team Leader at ADNOC Offshore, UAE. He has 23 years of experience working in the oil and gas sector. During his career (2001 to 2005) he serviced with Schlumberger Information Solutions (SIS) where he obtained extensive experience with Reservoir Modeling and Reservoir Simulation by working as a Reservoir Simulation Support Engineer and Consultant in UAE and other GCC countries like Oman and Bahrain. During his servicing in Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO)(2005 till 2015), he gained extensive experience working in giant gas and oil fields where he has exposed and participated in building simulation models for deep gas reservoirs, condensate gas reservoirs and depletion gas reservoirs. During his career, he carried out several major projects and obtained several awards/medals and appreciations from different affiliations. He has contributed to major gas projects like compression projects, surface network integrated asset modeling projects and Full Field Development Planning. Mr. Abed has published and shared several technical papers in different international oil and gas conferences. His major interests are reservoir characterization, EOR and reservoir simulation. In 2007, he successfully obtained the SPE certification by examination in Bahrain and was recognized as a SPE certified professional. In 2009, he obtained his M.Sc in Petroleum Sciences and Engineering.
