About Abdullah Husain

Hello, and thank you for checking out my profile! I am currently a student at the University of Central Florida, working towards a PhD degree in Optics and Photonics. I graduated from UCF with my Bachelor's in Photonic Science and Engineering in May of 2021 with University Honors and the top GPA in my graduating class. After graduation I hope to work in engineering, research, or education. I have been tutoring math professionally since 2017. My work experience has allowed me to develop extremely strong communication and teaching skills, and has granted me the opportunity to gain experience with leadership, working in teams, and engaging in the corporate world. I have experience handling optical and electronic instruments and devices, as well as modeling experience with MATLAB and Microsoft Excel. I am also very organized, and I enjoy working on hands-on projects such as construction, carpentry, masonry, electrical work, mechanical work, and plumbing. Finally, I am an experienced and motivated self-learner, and I enjoy studying and exploring new ideas that are outside of my expertise.
