About Abe Partington

I am a Police Sergeant and FTO Coordinator with 18 years of service at the Waxahachie Police Department. My career has spanned nearly every facet of law enforcement including patrol, SWAT, traffic, criminal investigations, street crimes, and problem-oriented policing. I have also served as a Patrol Corporal and Sergeant, led the FTO Program, instructed SFST, and began my career in communications after being hired as a dispatcher at age 18. I am passionate about proactive policing and believe in building strong community relationships through visibility, problem-solving, and officer-led initiatives that reduce crime and increase public trust. As a leader, I focus on officer development, accountability, and preparedness, ensuring my team has the tools, training, and judgment to succeed in high-pressure environments. I am also a dedicated fitness enthusiast who believes physical readiness directly impacts officer safety, decision-making, and overall performance. I take pride in setting the standard by promoting fitness, wellness, and resilience both in and out of uniform. I am a proud husband and father living in Midlothian, Texas, and I believe in leading by example for my family, my team, and the next generation of officers.
