Abe Thomas is Group Vice President, Customer Strategy, Sales Operations and Marketing for W.W. Grainger, Inc, a $15.2 billion leading broad line distributor with operations primarily in North America, Japan and the United Kingdom. In this role he oversees several key commercial functions including marketing, pricing, sales effectiveness including compensation and coverage, as well as customer strategy and information. A leader with a consistent track record of nimble learning, delivering results and building sustainable capabilities (standard process, people development). A strategic, customer-back thinker and team player who considers the end-to-end of the business in decision making. Extensive experience across the B2B and B2C value chain with strategy and operational experience in the commercial aspects of distribution and retail. Most recently Abe served as Vice President, Marketing and Pricing where he led marketing programs that drove measurable revenue growth for the company. Prior to that Abe held leadership roles across merchandising, publishing and pricing where he led teams responsible for developing and scaling Grainger’s Red Pass pricing program, the company’s supplier relationships and co-led efforts to create Grainger’s category review process and merchandising capabilities.
