About Abebe Belete

Abebe is a veterinarian and public health specialist with experience of teaching and research in higher education institution. He has proven abilities in generating problem solving research ideas and demonstrated skills in the research design, data collection, data entry, data management and data analysis (i.e. both quantitative and qualitative). He is also able to manage health data using Stata & R as well as understand and interpret research outputs. In addition, he has basic level of understanding on qualitative data management (transcription, thematic/content analysis, using Nvivo). His research focus is on investigation and exploring of problems on the health of the man, animals and the environment the so called One Health Approach, food safety issues at the center. He is also determined to make a difference in Implementation Research and Mixed Methods Research through contributions to the idea generation, planning, monitoring, evaluation and execution of research projects in tropical infectious diseases especially the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), with special focus on zoonotic NTDs, in resource limited settings. His academic qualification and research experience are best-fit to research ideas and interventions targeting infection management and/or food safety issues at the human-animal-environment interface, including the farm-fork section.
