About Abeer Shalan

I am Abeer Sha'lan, a dedicated Food Security and Livelihoods Expert with over five years of experience working with the World Food Programme. My journey began at the University of Aden where I earned my Executive MBA, and Sana'a University where I completed my Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature. I am also a certified analyst in Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC)- Acute Food Insecurity (AFI). My roles have varied from IT assistant to Program Assistant, and now, I am currently serving as a Vulnerability, Analysis and Mapping specialist and a Protection, Gender and PSEA Focal Point. I am passionate about gender-based violence activism and I strive to incorporate this advocacy into my work. Prior to my current role, I worked with Relief International and the Global Partnership for Education, honing my skills in monitoring and evaluation. I am confident in my abilities to contribute to mentoring programs, leveraging my expertise and experiences to make a difference.
